Sorry man, hopefully not family. I went through 2 this last year (dad and grandma) so I know that feel. Grandma actually wasn't too bad because it was kind of expected and she had a crazy full life. In any case, sorry for your loss.

When it's someone that meant a lot to me it really sucks, but can also be very interesting. After all it is somewhat a celebration of their life. You do get to hear very interesting things about people sometimes, at my grandfathers funeral I walked away with some stories I hadn't known about him yet. The sad thing is, it makes you miss that person that much more. But the good thing is that I was glad I was there.

I am sorry for your loss. I assume that's what's going on here.
